Goods through Sihanoukville Port will continue to rise while heavy
goods turn transported by railway from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville
railway will be launched soon, and it will facilitate cost of transport.
In 2015, the cargo through the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port amounted to 3,763,296 tons, up 9.91 percent compared with 2014.
Goods transported to Sihanoukville Autonomous Port will continue to
rise in 2016 more because of transporting goods, all to the port will be
easier than 2015 because recently the government has stopped paying
taxes on Road 4, which is a contribution to increase the living
standards of the people and help increase competitiveness of exporters
as well.
In addition, companies that heavy trucks diverted to rail transport instead of rail and truck transportation costs low and safe.
In
addition, the country also plans to build roads Express Way, which is
the first high-speed road projects at a distance of approximately 275
kilometers, a width of more than 20 meters from Phnom Penh to
Sihanoukville. High-speed road project will facilitate travel and provide a profit to the economy.

Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in 2015 amounted to 3,763,296 tonnes, an
increase of 9.91%, excluding fuel. Goods
container amounted to 2,379,769 tons, increased 11.9 percent General
cargo amounted to 258.274 tons, a decrease 16.76 percent, while in 2014
the goods through the port amounted to 3,423,919 tonnes of goods as
container amounted to 2,126,672 tons and cargo generally amounted
310.261 tons and has a ship docked some 1.103 units.
