Held on 8th Vietnam-Cambodia border regional development cooperation
meeting 28th joint statement of 16 items related to cooperation between
the two countries was announced.
In
trade between the two countries at the beginning of the year nine
months is about 2.5 billion USD (about 303 billion yen), an increase
compared to the same period last year + 5.6%. The
investment in Cambodia by Vietnamese companies of 172, with a total
investment of about 3.6 billion USD (about 436 billion yen), has become a
pair Cambodia investing countries 67 countries in second place. The two countries in the near future, have the goal of raising the trade volume to 5 billion USD (about 606 billion yen).
The
two countries, local to each other along the border, agreed to exchange
information for better management of the traffic of goods and people. It was also agreement that it continue to cooperate in the smuggling of resources. Cambodia aims to convenience to the cultivation of trees and
agricultural products of rubber by Vietnamese enterprises, Vietnam was
sure to consider the power supply to Cambodia.
In
addition, it is possible to build a peace and friendship of the border
road in a hurry the border demarcation work, and to cooperate in the
resolution of problems related to border demarcation, by taking the
measures to deepen the understanding of the importance of the border
demarcation to residents along the border match. In
addition the two countries, strengthen border security, it was also
agreed that to prevent the entry into the other country by hostile
forces.
